There’s something about oranges that demands a soundtrack.
Maybe it’s the color. Loud, impossible to ignore.
Maybe it’s the ritual. Peeling, pulling, that first sharp burst of oil into the air.
Or maybe it’s the way citrus sits right on the edge of sweet and bitter, like a good song you can’t decide if you want to dance to or cry to.
Either way, this issue didn’t come together in silence.
This playlist is what we cooked to.
What we tested recipes to.
What we played too loud while slicing citrus at midnight, fingers sticky, kitchen smelling like brightness.
It’s not clean. It’s not overly curated.
It’s a little sexy, a little chaotic, and occasionally too much... just like cooking should be.
